Genetic Deformity Causes Stunning Pair Of Eyes On This Pretty Kitty

The well known English rockstar David Bowie left behind quite the legacy after passing in 2016. The late musician happened to also be a cat lover. Flash forward to 2018 when an abandoned kitten was left homeless and a veterinarian's office in Spain took him in. Soon after they realized what a treasure he truly was.

The gorgeous white tabby marked cat loved to play. Not long after he met his new cat mama, Maria Lloret, she knew instantly this spunky babe deserved the name Bowie.

This pretty feline has one distinct unique feature- heterochromia.

By definition- Heterochromia is a difference in coloration, usually of the iris but can also be of hair or skin. Heterochromia is determined by the production, delivery, and concentration of melanin (a pigment). It may be inherited, or caused by genetic mosaicism, chimerism, disease, or injury.

One blue, one brown.

Suns out tongues out!

The pair lives in Alicante, Spain, where they go on many cat 'safe' adventures together. This cat mama has a blog in both English and Spanish translation, dedicated to their travels and her most prized possession, Bowie.

Maria is a die hard rescue adoption advocate, and her hope in sharing Bowie's spunkiness with the world is that it will bring awareness to their cause.

Explorer kitty. Not something you see everyday!

So poised.

This is such a stunning image, I can't even imagine the view itself.

"No more treats say whaaaaat?!"

"There's no way you're serious."

"Nuh to the Uh!"

"But I said pretty please!"

"FINE!" Most adorable pout.

I have never seen a cat quite so beautiful!
