People don’t like going to the doctor, so we can't really blame the cats for not wanting to go to the vet. People don’t like to take their pets to the vet, because they get nervous, annoyed and hard to control. And that raises tension.
What is the best tension relief? Jokes. And cats are a great inspiration for jokes. But they have to be good, because cats have great taste, and don’t want cheap fun.
We have collected the funniest jokes that vet clinics place on their signs to relieve tension.
Are they funny to cats? The cats weren’t in the mood to talk about it. But they are funny to us. Definitely.
in 2016, 82.8 percent of dog-owning homes and 54.3 percent of cat-owning homes made at least one visit to the pet clinic.
Total expenditure on veterinary care for all categories of pets was $27.8 billion during 2016.
Cats ought to visit the vet at least once a year to get their inoculations. indoor cats don't require as many vaccinations as ones that live primarily or partially outdoors, they do need the ones that are regarded as "core" vaccines essential for all cats. VetMed says that the core feline vaccines are those for feline herpesvirus 1 (FHV1), feline calicivirus (FCV), feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), feline leukemia virus (FeLV - kittens) and rabies.
Among cat-owning homes that visited veterinarians, 89.1 percent had a "regular veterinarian." They stated that the reasons are that they are knowledgeable, provide high-quality care and because their regular veterinarian is kind and empathetic and handles dogs or cats well.
“Cat ownership is less defined than dog ownership”, said Dr. Apryl Steele, president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and CEO of the Dumb Friends League in Denver. "People who feed community cats and even provide a safe shelter for them often do not consider themselves the owner of the cat. However, if the cat is injured, they may be the person who would bring the cat to the veterinarian"
The AVMA Pet Ownership and Demographics Sourcebook says:, "Visits to the veterinarian per pet per year have remained fairly stable for a decade or longer: 1.5 times per dog, 0.7 times per cat, 0.1 times per bird and 0.7 times per horse.
